Welcome everyone! We are fast approaching our 10th year for The 9-11 Flight Crew Memorial Motorcycle Ride! We had initially just hoped to pull off one year but we’re back again for a 10th, because for us “NEVER FORGET” is not just a cliche. If you rode with us last year the venue is the same with some great improvements. If this will be your first time joining us, I believe you won’t be disappointed.
— Ride Information —
This year we are honored to have the great folks at Federal Protection Agency provide us with traffic assistance throughout the ride. This will help alleviate a lot of the stress associated with big groups traversing through stop lights. Also, something new last year was motorcycle circle drags. This is a once a month occurrence at the speedway but for the first time last year it was extended to motorcycles and was a true hair-raising nail biter for those that witnessed it. Signup ahead of time and see if you have what it takes to be the fastest bike on the track. We will again have a great prize raffle items, a 50/50 Drawing and t-shirt sales.
To those who’d like to attend but don’t ride motorcycles please join us for opening ceremonies and the races. If you go to Will Call at the main entrance and mention that you are here for the Ride911 event the track has discounted the beer garden tickets to $5 for kids and $10 for adults. If you are an airline employee bring your uniform and you can join us on the track for the tribute speech.
12:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Registration at Colorado National Speedway. In order for us to complete the ride and return in time to launch the opening ceremonies we will leave at 2:30 SHARP. Everyone should plan to arrive by 2:00 PM in order to sign in and line up. We will leave those not ready. The hospitality section will be open for you to watch the race cars do practice laps until we depart. Food and drinks will also be available FOR PURCHASE.
2:30 PM – 5:15 PM
The ride itself is approximately 100 miles. Gas is available just a couple miles North of the track. We do not stop during our ride. We take approximately 2:30 hours to complete. There are no interstate miles, all highway / 2 lane roads and once we’re in the mountains it is a spectacular ride. MAP
5:15 PM – 6:00 PM
We return to the track and line up right outside the pits. For those that have never ridden with us this is truly one of the highlights of this event. At approximately 5:45 PM we will ride onto the race track. Complete between 3 and 4 laps and line up on the infield, in front of the Grand stands. We will make a tribute speech to the heros we lost on Sept 11th, 2001. Color guard will present the flags for the Star Spangled banner, a prayer will be given for the drivers safety and we will exit the track.
6:00 PM – 10:30 PM
We will return to the Hospitality Section (turn 2 private area), where you will have an opportunity to eat, drink, watch the races and socialize. Your registration fee of $20 rider / $15 passenger includes: Food (Hamburger / Hot Dog and Chips), a drink (Non-Alcoholic beverage only), a 2012 Ride 9-11 Pin for the first 150 riders, and admission to races! Food (beyond what your registration included) and Alcohol are available for purchase.
